Puccino's Cafe, High Street

It was such a shame that Puccino's Cafe closed (which I know was ages ago), if only because it restored a bit of life to the large units next to the Surrey Yeoman. It also sat nicely next to 'Fire your Imagination', the ceramic painting shop.

It seems like forever that the unit has been empty with no signs that the situation is going to improve.

From what i understand it is puccino's pig headedness that they still have the lease on the premises and are unwilling to pass it on, unless they receive a large premium. It is for that matter that many shop's remain empty in the town.

That is what I have heard as well. This unit (ex-Puccino's) has been under offer numerous times only to collapse at the last minute as Puccino's want a premium plus, in the region of £50,000-£60,000 a year in rent for the above mentioned property. Nobody in their right mind would pay that kind of money! The same goes for the ex Robin Renee unit, the Khyber Pass unit (KFC side of town) etc. All the landlords are interested in big rents or an empty unit. It is the same old story I am afraid.
