Lights at Pump Corner

Loads has been said about this but it is great that the pressure is still on Surrey County Council to remedy the absolute mess up they made with installing the lights at Pump Corner.

I have driven out of North Street on many occasions and always have to wait for ages for the lights to turn green. This never happened before as you used to just edge out - it was safe and practical. In addition to this turning left into the High Street is now far too narrow.

The massively increased problems that the lights have caused down West Street, which also affects the one-way system and Westcott Road is also ridiculous.

For pedestrians it is dangerous that you wait minutes to cross West Street then turn right to cross North Street not realising that the queued up traffic there is just pulling away, but because it is set back you would not realise until maybe it is too late.

See above for my comments on the moronic lights at Pump Corner. They can be found on "North Street No Left Turn". ~AP~
