Brockham - what a great night

I always make the effort to visit Brockham Bonfire and this year it was a fine evening, even though it was a bit cold. The atmosphere at this event is second to none. It does come across as a bit cheesy sometimes with the bloke constantly talking over the microphone (he likes the power and the sound of his own voice) and the Dambusters music is almost too much to bear. If you can ignore this and get round the hype it really is a great and unique experience, especially when you have some alcohol in your bag.

don't forget that bloke with the voice helps make it all financially viable and parts the crowd with thirty grand for local worthy causes

I am not personally against the bloke with 'the voice', I just find most of the banter unnecessary especially when the display is kicking off.

It isn't you is it?

According to the Dorking Ad., there was 15,000 people who attended the Brockham Bonfire. That is a huge amount of people crammed into the green. Heard the crowd was mostly good natured and up for a bit of fun!
