Pump Gallery, Pump Corner
It looks promising! At the weekend I read signs which stated that the Pump Gallery was opening where Summers Art Gallery had recently closed. Hopefully they will also sell colourful, interesting paintings. It is encouraging when a new shop is opening so soon, imagine if this outlet had remained empty for a long period of time.

Totally agree that is nice to see the quick turnaround on units like this one and the ex-Thomson unit! It is shame that cannot be said for other one's like the ex-Puccino's unit, which has been under offer numerous times only to fall through at the last minute. Other units that spring to mind are the ex-Khyber Pass unit (at the KFC end of the High Street), various units in West Street, the former Seven unit (next to The Bali) and Route 25 on South Street. Too often is the case, as we have said before, is that the landlords are just too greedy and totally unrealistic.
Look at the various commercial property websites and it is encouraging to see a lot of the empty units in Dorking are under offer. Martin Brown www.martin-brown.uk.com. Robinsons www.robinsonsuk.co.uk and Christies www.christies.co.uk.
Also look at the commercial section on the left hand side, in the www.findaproperty.com website.
Shame that I cannot find any information on the empty units in St Martins Walk, as Colliers CRE does not give any!!!
Apologies the website for Christie which is in charge of commercial property is....www.christie.com
The website, I gave earlier, holds rather famous auctions in London! Christie has the ex-Puccino's unit in Dorking and at the moment, it is under offer (don't hold your breath though, as it is only a matter of time before it falls through again!)
Looked at the website for Christie and it appears that the ex-Puccino's is back on the market, yet again!!! Once again, it has fallen through. Will this unit ever re-let?? Spoke to a lady at Christie and she confirmed that it has fallen through and that it is very hard to shift this particular unit. Maybe is has something to with the survey of the building?
