Lighting in Dorking

Mole Valley District Council has come under some heavy fire in recent years what with controversial schemes such as the closure of Pixham Lane, sometimes bewildering retail planning decisions and, of course, the Dorking Cockerel.

One thing it does seem to have got right is the architectural lighting of various parts of the town. I refer to Pump Corner and St Martins Church which both look fantastic at night. The area around the War Memorial also looks great. As you approach the town centre from Deepdene the Dorking Halls looks great too - modern, colourful and interesting, which it should do.
