Dorking vs Crystal Palace Confirmed
It has been confirmed on the Dorking FC website that the charity game with Crystal Palace has been approved by the FA and will take place on Tuesday 3rd April, kick off 7.45pm. I urge anyone who reads this to attend as the recent match against Portsmouth was well attended and turned out to be a truly memorable night.
Heidi Vaughan (Stewarts wife) has also set up a site on 'myspace' where she has created a blog to update visitors on Stewarts progress. Heidi has also posted some pictures of him in happier times.
It is so sad when you hear a story like this. Stewart actually played for a few minutes in the game against Portsmouth. Sadly he has recently taken a turn for the worst. For what it's worth I would like to wish Stewart and his family all the best at this extremely hard time.

Let us all make an effort to get down to the Meadowbank and cheer on Dorking and Stewart Vaughan when they play the Eagles next week. I have not noticed too much publicity from the club about the forthcoming fixture. Hopefully, the word will spread through this week's Advertiser, the radio and the internet. Very best wishes go out to Stewart and Heidi as they try and get through this very traumatic time.

This story is truly heart breaking, my thoughts are with Stewart, Heidi and all their family, please be strong, God bless you all. xx
Very sad news that Stewart Vaughan passed away yesterday evening - Sunday April 1. There is a detailed message on the Dorking Football Club website. My condolences go out to Heidi and their families. My father, is at present, is battling against cancer and the news is not too good either.
