Countdown to new licensing

The media are loving it. There is loads of speculation about what the new licensing laws will bring to England. There are reports of businesses bracing themselves for the onslaught of disorder and violence, police seemingly unable to cope, hospitals on standby and the taxpayer footing the bill.

Thats what gets to me about this this country, anyone would think that we are launching some world pioneering project that no other country has done before. To anyone in Europe, and possibly most developed countries, it must look like we are an island of drinking animals about to be unleashed!

Maybe history indicates this, but this move is intended to change the drinking culture to which we have become accustomed - for the better.
